Key Features
The Jackson JS series Spectra Bass JS3V is a versatile instrument capable of jamming in any genre. Moulded into an eye-catching, bold design, the Spectra has been carefully engineered to distribute the weight evenly, giving you less fatigue and an easier time focusing on your playing. And that playing is going to be fast thanks to a speed neck contour and compound radius fretboard. It fits in the palm of your hand like a dream and will have you darting around the registers at top speed. Not only that, but the extra string on the JS3V gives you more notes to enhance your creativity.
It feels great to play, but it sounds even better. Powered by two medium-output Jackson humbuckers, you have a booming bass growl at your disposal. The medium wiring provides a voicing that's flexible, able to fit in with the menacing rumble of hard rock right through to tight funk bass. If that wasn't enough, they can be coil split to transform your tone, and bypassed to engage or disengage the active circuit. Jackson's precise style and peerless tone generation will take your sound to the next level, all at exceptional value.

Incredible variety. You're going to have fun sampling all the different sounds these two powerhouse pickups create. Wound to be medium output, you have a choice between active and passive wirings and also a coil split function. In active mode you'll get a powerful, aggressive tone that's defined and forceful. With a simple push / pull switch, you can engage passive mode if you want to save battery power, and access the cooler, more mellow passive textures.
Change your sound further with the coil split function that instantly thins it out, enhancing the twang and glassy qualities of your notes. It's great for moulding your music on the fly, immediately emphasising bass fills or lead lines by flicking it on or off. That's not all, the active mode features a three band EQ for even more tone control. With so many tools at your command, the bass riffs will sound exactly how you want them.
Basses are big. Sometimes that means they're a bit unwieldy. Not with Jackson's Spectra, it's built with your playing comfort in mind. A large upper horn evenly distributes the weight of the instrument, so you're not going to suffer irritating neck dive and instead can focus on the funk. This fine balance leads to an unrestricted playing experience.
Get comfortable because the Spectra will launch your riffs at breakneck speed. A smooth laurel fretboard is silky to touch and easy to manoeuvre around thanks to its compound radius shaping. It's more curved at the low frets for effortless riffing and flattens out towards the higher registers for more expansive playing. This is all sat on a thin, speed profile neck that sports a satin finish, ideal for rapid riffs. Take your tone into turbo mode.
Crafted by one of the most recognisable brands in business, the Spectra displays all the touches you'd expect from such a renowned brand. Firstly is a Jackson HiMass bridge that'll keep your strings firmly anchored, resulting in incredible sustain and pinpoint accurate intonation across the scales. It works with the humbuckers to generate the rounded, bold tones, and in combination with Jackson sealed die-cast tuners, you'll enjoy solid tuning stability throughout a set.
Born to perform. Any musician on the road needs reliable equipment that's always ready for a gig, and the Spectra won't let you down. Its bolt on maple neck with scarf joint is made to Jackson's high standards, and will prove resistant to warping and heavy use.
