EMG pickup power

The engine of your tone. EMG are well known for making high-performance and high-output pickups. The 81 and 85 form a deadly duo, capable of creating destructive tones to match the most aggressive mix. Speaking of mixes, the bridge mounted 81 produces razor sharp sonics that can cut-through the densest ensemble, so you'll be always heard. Using ceramic magnets, its voicings are brimming with energy and will imbue your tone with a ferocious intensity.

The other side of the classic combo is the EMG 85 pickup, installed at the neck. This swaps ceramic for alnico V magnets to produce a rounded, rich tone. It still boasts oodles of power to keep up with the most extreme metal, but it's a smoother sound to offset the 81's cutting bite. And with a 3-way pickup selector and volume / tone controls, you can switch up your sound however and whenever you like.

Play fast forever

Play like a rock god. The Solosist SLA6 is ready for any gig, no matter how rowdy. The maple neck contains graphite reinforcement that provides solid stability and resistance to climate and temperature changes, so your playing can always be nothing short of nuclear.

And to make sure you produce the fastest riffs and speediest licks, the neck has a thin shape and cutaway groove into the body. Your hand will have ample room at the top and bottom frets to perform the most demanding of songs. What's more is the SLA6 uses a set-through neck construction, heightening the sustain by providing excellent vibration transference to the nyatoh body. You'll feel every note.

Luscious laurel fretboard

A canvas of chaos. It's here where the SLA6 shines, and Jackson have given you a surface to slay on. An all-laurel fingerboard provides a smooth, dreamy response that's effortless to manoeuvre around. It's set out in a compound radius, more curved at the headstock for easy chugging cords but flatter at the higher registers for awesome pitch bends. There's no worry about fretting out here, you can string bend to your heart's content thanks to jumbo fret sizes and the flatter stance at the higher registers. Finally, there's discreet piranha tooth position inlays that add to the minimalistic appearance, and don't block out the beautiful laurel detail.

String-through-body sustain

Commanding performance. If you need to take your playing to the next level, Jackson's HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge design will certainly help. It keeps your strings anchored in place, allowing them to freely vibrate for glorious levels of sustain. It also offers pinpoint accurate intonation, so your playing will be on-point at all times.
