Originally introduced by an ukulele craftsman in the 1920s and nicknamed after the fruit by his friends due to its rounded appearance, the pineapple ukulele is a hugely popular offshoot of the traditional ukulele.
The pineapple not only offers a unique aesthetic, but also has slightly different tonal qualities compared to traditional soprano ukuleles. The uke's oval shape creates a more resonant and mellow sound in comparison to the original figure-eight ukulele design, making it a must-have addition for ukulelists.

Coming from Kala's well known Satin Mahogany range, the KA-P features an all-mahogany body and neck adorned with a smooth satin finish.
