By using modern day technology of thermal ageing, they've managed to replicate the DNA of some of their oldest models - reviving that authentic 1830's sound. Using state of the art technology, Martin produce their guitars with exquisite accuracy. The development of the Plek system highlights the attention to detail that has gone into the D-28. They carefully place the guitar into a string tension simulator which optimises the string action. This recreates playing conditions to ensure the guitar's pitch is flawless.
