With an incredibly high output, they can give all the power you need, whilst offering plenty of dynamism to help you sculpt your own desired tone. Both the bridge and the neck pickup have immense clarity, presence, and punch, allowing your playing to cut through any mix. Having the ability to go from high gain, overdriven mayhem to a more expressive, fluid sound, you'll find they complement all styles of playing.

This guitar has a secret. It is also loaded with a piezo pickup underneath the bridge, which can take its sound to a new dimension. When using this feature, your guitar will produce an acoustic style sound which is clean, vibrant and rich with flavour. Unlike the high output Illuminators, the tone is softer and twangier. In this sense, the JP15 is almost like two instruments in one, and you'll be able to dramatically change your sound any time you like.

Lightning-fast manoeuvring. Take your playing further with the incredible neck profile of the John Petrucci JP15. It is made from select roasted maple, so it adds tonal brightness which will naturally emphasise the attack and bite of the notes you play. Being finished with gunstock oil and a hand rubbed special wax blend, it is silky smooth, facilitating the slickest, quickest fretboard manoeuvrability imaginable. The fretboard is also roasted maple, complementing the neck's tone perfectly and adding even more smoothness and comfort.

Enhanced control system

In a class of its own. If you ever find yourself wanting a bit more gain in your tone, you can use the 20+ dB push/push control on this guitar's volume knob to boost it instantly. This will increase your gain significantly and bring raw power to your sound. There's also a push/push function on the tone knob, which allows you to change the tone of the pickups. When the pickup selector is in the middle position, you can use this function to increase/decrease the output of the pickups for a major sonic shift. There is also a mono/stereo jack and adjustable trim pots on the back to give you ultimate control over your sound. With these controls, you can easily mould and diversify your tone on the spot, giving you greater creative freedom when making music.

Schaller M6-IND locking machineheads also help to hold your tuning, whilst their chrome plated, hardened steel construction makes them strong and durable. The truss rod is completely adjustable without having to remove any components, and the electrics are well protected by the aluminium control cover and graphite acrylic resin coated body cavity.
