The Orange 70s Vintage Distortion is a premium offering which contains all the fantastic Orange characteristics that players have fallen in love with over the decades. Re-designed with entirely new internal components, Orange have built this pedal with an amp circuit tone stack, including a fully adjustable treble which can be altered using the trimmer inside the casing. The bass and mids are preset. Although the design has changed, the sound has not - you'll still be able to access all those classic Orange distorted tones, some serious grit to your playing on stage, at home or in the studio.
The base of the sound is a 70s valve amp-like distortion which ranges from vintage crunch, subtle boost to full blown tube screamer. Using the two control knobs for level and depth, you can control the intensity of the distortion to help you find your perfect balance. No matter your style, there is a sweet spot of distorted grit in there for you. This pedal is a truly vintage offering with all the perks of modern technology - and this is showcased further by the hardwired switch that is separate from the PCB, making it extremely easy to service.
