The Crush Bass 100 features and EQ circuit inspired by Orange's prestigious 4 Stroke Series Amplifiers. At its centre is a parametric mid band. This enables the player to enact total control over their sound, allowing them to distinguish and precisely locate the frequencies they want to hear.
As well as being more accurate than a traditional EQ, the mid band covers an extremely wide range, sweeping from 300Hz (Fully counter-clockwise) to 2.7kHz (fully clockwise), meaning this amp can be fine tuned to suit a number of musical styles. The featured active circuitry allows for 15db of boot or cut on the bass and middle frequencies as well as up to 20dB on the treble side.
This amplifier has been meticulously designed and manufactured by Orange to deliver the best possible performance. At the centre of the Crush Bass 100 is its 100 Watt output stage and capability to fill out smaller to more reasonably sized venues. Using discrete circuitry as opposed to integrated circuits, the Crush Bass 100 achieves a purer and even more powerful delivery with unprecedented clarity and definition.
The Crush Bass 100 houses a 15" speaker with a reflex port for improved low end response, which is a full bodied as it is clear. This clarity is retained through the mid-range, with the addition of a brightness and warmth that is exceptional for such a powerful bass combo amp. The buffered effects loop has been engineered for maximum transparency, allowing your pedal arsenal to perform at its peak whilst ensuring the natural tone of this amp and your guitar aren't lost.
Renowned for their distinctive tones and responsive dynamics, Orange's history lies deep in the heart of the swinging '60s. Since its humble beginnings in a music shop and recording studio in 1968, London, Orange has developed into a fully fledged household name for musicians across the globe.
With the likes of Peter Green and Paul Kossoff plugging into the earliest prototypes at the Orange shop, Orange has always been on the cutting edge of musical innovation with the most passionate and devout musicians at its helm.
In more recent times, Orange Amplifiers have continued to appear in the hands of many international superstars who favour the brand's unique tone and philosophy on sound. Bringing the high quality manufacturing and passionate design that has helped inspire generations of musicians, Orange remain at the forefront of amplification engineering.
