Brought back and redesigned for the modern age, the Terror Bass brings you stunning tones and a classic Orange performance. Its all valve preamp design is based on their flagship AD200 amplifier, providing you with some of the best bass tones Orange has to offer.
The Terror Bass is also equipped with a Class D power amp, letting you receive an analogue valve tone in a portable lunchbox size head. This hybrid setup is perfect if you favour the raw power and tonal saturation of a valve but want a reliable and lightweight amp.
Despite its upgrade, the Terror Bass still features classic Orange controls for a familiar playing experience. One aspect that's different from the old model is the additional clean switch, letting you create crystal clean tones with extra headroom and a smooth character. This gives you more creative freedom, especially if you use FX pedals.
The other slight difference is the rebranding of the active/passive button to a pad switch. It still offers the same function as the button, letting you optimise the Terror Bass for either active of passive basses. Apart from that, you still get controls over the volume, treble, mid, bass, and gain, letting you take the amp from clean pop to gritty rock.
If you have a favourite effects pedal or pedalboard you want to use with the Terror Bass, then you'll love its valve-driven FX loop. The valves added extra warmth and dynamics to your signal chain, giving you a beautifully distinct character.
Along with its two speaker outputs, you also have access to a balanced XLR output to directly send your tone to mixing desks and PA systems. This makes the Terror Bass perfect for both studio and stage settings.
