Key Features
An incredible fully featured amp originally designed in partnership with Misha Mansoor of Periphery. The Peavey Invective MH Mini Head shows us yet again that Peavey are constantly innovating and attracting new players to their huge arsenal of amplifiers. This is a revelation.
Equipped with a 20W power-soak and MSDI technology, you can record silently with no need for a cabinet and get the most out of your amplifier. So requiring a ton of extra recording equipment will be a thing of the past. This is a new take on the wildly successful invective .120 amp, shrinking it down but filling it with features seen in amps twice its size - it's small but monstrous to hear.
Nearly New: This product may have been opened for quality control purposes, returned by a customer, refurbished, or may have non-essential parts or software missing. Otherwise, the product operates as new. This is a great opportunity to buy a fully functioning product at a discounted price.

Peavey have based the Invective MH on the iconic 6505 - known for delivering hell to all who hear it. It's no surprise that this is an absolute staple in metal, and that's exactly what the distortion channel of this amp is designed to emulate. It also isn’t a surprise that metal amps don’t focus much on the clean channel, and as a result, they suffer. Peavey specifically designed this with so much care - in designing a beautiful clean channel, you're taking an amp that once championed metal and broadening its appeal for many new players.
Peavey have always been a key player in metal, but with how the genre has evolved, it's vital to adapt and keep creating special products that meet the demands of a new generation. And they have - the 6505 became one of the most demanded high gain amps on the market.
In crafting the Invective™.120 head - designed in conjunction with Periphery guitarist Misha Mansoor - it was important to have a ton of flexibility. Mansoor's playing is rooted in metal, but his consistent incorporation of numerous different styles in his music demanded a versatile amp. Now, in the next iteration of that success, it has been shrunk down, making it way more portable but with no detriment to performance. Simply flawless.
Packed full of features taken from its older brother, it's amazing how much Peavey have crammed into such a small amp. It was demanding to build - Misha Mansoor’s wish list was a country mile long – an outstanding achievement by Peavey’s engineers.
Unlike its big brother, the boost is set at a sweet spot that is engaged at the touch of a button. It's the same with the gate, which is footswitch enabled. The tight switch is a rhythm voicing, giving a low and high mid boost which is great for adding a bit more weight to chord work. And thanks to the MSDI (Microphone simulated direct interface) tech, recording silently is easy, and you don’t even need a cab as it has a load-box built in.
It’s pretty small - only the size of a large lunchbox - so transporting the Invective is utterly simple. If volume constraints are your concern, then you'll be happy to see three switchable power options: 20w, 5w, and a 1w mode. This means it's much easier to get that fully ‘cranked’ sound at much quieter volumes – perfect for recording without getting complaint letters from your neighbours.
Complementing the cleanness of the clean channel is the buffered FX loop. This ensures no loss in signal quality due to meters and meters of cable. Hear what a modern pedal platform sounds like, opening up the sound of your effects like never before.
It’s incredibly functional, portable, and will melt your face off. All-round excellence.
