Boasting ample bright overtones with heaps of sustain, fingerpicking styles are particularly effective on the AD12e as each note is packed with clarity and definition.
Compact Grand Concert shape
It's not only the tonewoods that benefit fingerstylists, because the small-body Grand Concert shape offers a nimble agility together with a focussed brightness to your sound. With a tapered waist, slim profile, and chamfered edges, it's a joy to play both sitting and standing.
In addition to the body's mid-to-top end tones, the neck is al by a slightly wider neck profile to afford you plenty of room for complex fingerings. That's enhanced further by the manoeuvrability and fluidity that a shorter 24 7/8" scale length affords you, along with slinkier string feel due to the light string tension. Play your way.
Expressive electronics
The Expression System 2. It's Taylor's revolutionary pickup design, and it adds yet more capabilities to this exceptional guitar. With the pickup placed behind the saddle rather than underneath, you get a much richer, more well-rounded response which helps to bring out the natural sounds of the tonewoods and fire them through an amp.
