The Schecter Model-T comes designed with a set of EMG P and J pickups, which provide your bass with a flexible tone that can accommodate both contemporary and traditional playing styles. These two low noise pickups are capable of producing a tight slap funk to smooth Motown grooves. The P pickup, which is situated in the neck position and features a ceramic magnet, delivers a warm and defined tone with low-end punch and high-end articulation. In the bridge position is the EMG J pickup, adding a defined attack with a tight midrange, dynamic high-end response, and an excellent low-end.
Constructed with a high-quality swamp ash, the Model-T is lightweight and resonant, delivering an airy, twangy tone. This pleasantly sweet sound offers firm lows, pleasing highs, scooped mids, and an incredible amount of sustain. With a neck and fingerboard both constructed from maple, this Schecter’s tone is tight and cut, providing an edge of sizzle to the highs and a firmness to the lows. When the strings are played hard, this wood produces more punch, whilst light strumming offers excellent clarity.
