The Schecter Sun Valley Guitar is equipped with EMG’s Retro Active pickups, featuring a humbucker at the neck and two single-coils at the bridge and middle positions. EMG’s Retro Active pickups are designed to offer all the benefits of an active pickup, but with the feel and dynamic response of vintage passive pickups. The neck humbucker features an alnico V magnet, offering high output tones and incredible versatility which evoke the tones of 70’s rock.

The two single-coil pickups are designed to offer an incredibly balanced performance, channelling the same tones used by legendary players like Clapton, Beck, and Hendrix. Each pickup is also equipped with a uniquely voiced plug-in FET preamp, deliver a low-impedance output and removing any unwanted noise, hum, and buzz.

The Sun Valley Guitar is designed with a well-balanced tone, offering a wide variety of sonic possibilities designed for the modern-day player. Its mahogany body delivers a naturally warm tone with a touch of bite, creating beautifully tights lows and an appealing high-end ideal for creating sharp tonal runs. The body is then topped with maple to add a subtle layer of brightness, while its quilted figuring adds to the overall aesthetics of the guitar to create a unique style.

Maximum comfort

With a neck and fingerboard both constructed from maple, the Schecter’s tone is tight and features plenty of cut, providing an edge of sizzle to the highs while firming up the lows. The maple wood provides bright characteristics to the overall tone, offering a snappy attack in the midrange to cut through dense mixes. When the strings are played hard, the wood adds extra layers of punch to the tone, while light to medium picking offers more clarity. Its thin 'C' profile is ideal for deliver fast performances and speed runs, with its shape allowing the hand to naturally cup the neck for an incredibly comfortable playing experience.
