You'll be able to place it virtually anywhere in your signal chain - putting at the front will drive your entire tone, placing it after drive pedals will serve as a sonic sweetener, and at the end of your pedalboard it will restore the sound of your guitar going directly into an amp.


Carve out your sound. Using Output, Circuit, and Tone controls, you'll not only get up to 20dB of boost, but also be able to shape your tone with ease. Sometimes, you need a little boost to really make each frequency shine, whether you want your solos to slice through or more punch and crunch in your chords. With up to 20dB of boost, the Zio will easily cater to your requirements. Set your output level, stomp it on, and watch your audience weep with joy as they hear your music like never before.

Seductive tone sculpting

Your amp's tone may be incredible. But it always helps to have that little bit more control when you're crafting the ultimate sound. The preamp part of this pedal will put the tools of sonic mastery firmly in your hands, allowing you to make every aspect of your tone sparkle with clarity, and really drive the right frequencies forward. A dedicated Tone switch can add brightness or darkness, all depending on the length of your cable. Given that cable length can have a serious impact on your sound, it has been specifically designed to compensate for this, and ensure tonal purity from guitar to speaker.

Four fearsome circuits

The circuitry of pedals and amps massively affects their voicing. With the Zio, you can switch between four different, all-analogue circuits, meaning you have four times the tonal firepower. Select between JFET, Low-cut, Studio, and E-plex, all of which have their own sonic qualities and uses, with each targeting a different set of frequencies. JFET, for instance, mimics an almost bell-like clean tube amp input, maintaining clarity, definition, authenticity, also reducing excessive brightness. Low-cut targets the super low, rumbling frequencies, cutting them out for a cleaner, tighter sound with more breathing space. The world is your oyster.
