This Jaguar showcases a marvellous “C”-shaped maple neck which ensures a comfortable grasp, while also providing an abundance of freedom to jump from note to note effortlessly. The natural satin finish ensures minimal friction between you and the instrument's neck, making movement feel luxurious. This works perfectly in unison with the unblemished Indian laurel fretboard, which boasts a flawless surface making movement effortless freeing you to concentrate on your performance.
Keeping with the traditional blueprint of the Jaguar, this vintage inspired instrument is equipped with two Fender Designed Alnico single coils. These articulate every nuance and detail of your performance with ultimate clarity, from the softest, subtle picks to the most energetic sweeps. They pack a punch in every note and chord thanks to their alnico magnets, so you can adopt any musical style of your choosing.
Partnered with intuitive electronics, you can have full control of your sound. A toggle switch, partnered with a set of tone controls and a volume control, makes the sound impressively versatile. With the ability to change between rhythm and lead circuits, you can optimise your tone at the flick of a switch.
Constructed from basswood, the guitar possesses a flawless tonal foundation showcasing a balanced frequency response with scintillating highs, a well-rounded mid-range and defined, together lows. The basswood tonewood is also lightweight in nature which makes the performance comfortable and maximises the time you can perform for. A six-saddle tremolo bridge allows you to influence your sound with an abundance of vibrato, giving your playing a glistening essence for true expression.
The Jaguar was a feature-laden instrument released in 1962 and designed to tempt players away from other guitar brands. It had a relatively unusual switching system, but during its 13-year production run it did not sell as well as the classic Stratocaster and Telecaster models. It became popular in the surf music scene, and later with punk and rock players of the '80s and '90s, once production had been ceased. Fender began making a Japanese-made model in the '80s, and a USA reissue in 1999. It is now famed for its off-set design and unique tones.
