This model’s body has been designed with sleek contours for a comfortable playing experience whether stood up or sat down. Its double cutaway design offers an easy access to the top frets, so you'll have no problems playing solos and chordal parts. Constructed from mahogany, the Sterling offers a warm and resonant sound, with the iconic pickguard and control plate giving you the same stand-out looks of the Music Man StingRay.
A hard maple neck provides a smooth playing feel and a bright addition to your tone. It has been mounted to the body with a contoured 5-bolt joint, designed to keep your hand free from any barriers at the top end of the neck. It also features a 38mm nut, which is narrower than previous models and creates a tighter string gap for smoother string-crossing.

The StingRay Classic comes equipped with a single humbucker, which produces a raunchy sound that is ideal for modern styles of music.
