Key Features
The Strymon Blue Sky V2 Reverberator pedal is here to give you new sonic atmospheres. Able to voice everything from classic, subtle spring reverbs through to full on dynamic shifting reverb tails, a whole world of creativity awaits you. Starting with a few switches, it's easy to get the sound you're looking for. Simply set it to spring, room or plate reverb and then go wild with the Blue Sky's vast array of sonic modification options.
But its usefulness doesn't stop at its sound generation, no. The Blue Sky is just at home in high end studios as it is in front of grizzled old tube amps thanks to its high quality, low noise componentry. Together with MIDI functionality and a USB interface, you can easily connect and control the pedal remotely, setting presets and controls with ease. And for some direct involvement, hook up an expression pedal to gain heel/toe finesse over your reverbs, putting you at the forefront of your sound.

you can imagine it, then you can voice it with the Blue Sky. A host of control options let you summon everything from ethereal shimmers through to undulating, pitch shifted tails that stretch out for eternities. A “Verb” switch sets the type of spring, plate or room, then a mod switch can make the signal lighter, or deeper.
From there you’ve got decay, pre delay, low, high, shimmer and mix dials to roll in the sound as you see fit. In particular, the low, high and shimmer dials help shape the tone by adding or cutting frequencies. If you want less boomy, muddy reverbs then ease off on the low control, but if you really want to get a thick, subterranean presence in your ‘verbs then max it out and cut out the highs.
Finally, the shimmer works differently depending on what reverb setting you’ve got active, but in general, it adds a pitch shifted shimmer that introduces an exciting element to the action.
The ultimate performer pedal. Strymon have always got your convenience in mind, which is why they’ve installed the Blue Sky V2 with both True and Buffered Bypass. By default, it will be in True Bypass for a completely uncoloured, untouched signal path while the pedal is off. However, if you’re a pedalhead and have a longer cable run, then the Blue Sky has you covered. Buffered Bypass mode helps preserve the high frequencies that often get lost as a result of longer signal paths, so the Blue Sky ensures you’re ready to perform.
The best of both worlds. The Blue Sky V2 combines JFET inputs with digital signal processing for a truly dynamic performance. Enjoy the feel, responsiveness and touch sensitivity of the ultra-low noise preamp input while exploring the multitude of sounds the digital processor can create.
That ARM processor represents the latest in cutting edge technology, able to perform more simultaneous processes while drawing less power than ever before. Jargon aside, you’re basically getting every detail, every sonic nuance voiced to perfection thanks to the formidable brain housed in the Blue Sky V2!
Enjoy effortless set up with the Blue Sky V2 thanks to its stereo in/out modes. Don’t want to use stereo? No problem! A handy switch lets you flick it over to mono without any hassle.
Extend the possibilities. Featuring full MIDI implementation, the Blue Sky V2 lets you program just about every knob, dial and setting by sending MIDI commands from your controller or DAW. Those can be sent either through the EXP / MIDI jack or the USB-C port for ultimate flexibility.
It gets better though, because you can store up to a whopping 300 MIDI preset locations for your favourite settings. Not only that, but you can also remotely bypass or engage the pedal, automate the decay time and others settings in your DAW, in addition to recalling unique presets for each song on your set list!
