The Suhr SL-68 Hand-Wired Valve Head gives you the opportunity to create a sound that is completely unique. You know what kind of performance you want to deliver; you know what sound you want your audience to remember, and with this amp you can bring this sound to life. Thanks to its superb versatility, you can achieve a tone that is bright, with articulation of those trebles that give you striking clarity, or one which utilises a bassier tonal response
In order to deliver such a versatile sound, this amp features two different inputs for each of the channels. The top input for channel one offers high sensitivity and a bright tonal response, whereas the bottom input has low sensitivity and provides a warmer tone. For channel two, the top input also has high sensitivity, but with a normal tone response that is bassier to that of channel one, and the bottom input has low sensitivity with a similar response. To expand your sound even further, you can bridge the channels to create your own distinctive sound, enhanced by the volume one and two controls.

A classic rock tone
This amp allows you to achieve a full, saturated, '70s inspired tone via its innovative three-position power selector switch. It encompasses a LOW power Variac™ mode which lowers the amount of voltage and changes the tone from aggressive, with plenty of bite, to one which is rich in saturation, whilst still retaining an incredible amount of sustain. If you're wanting to reminisce the greats of the '70s, then this amp is your ideal match, you can be sure you will look and sound amazing. If this is not to your taste, however, just use the HI mode and create your own tone.
Controls to suit you
Whether you choose to have the power on HI for normal operation or LOW for that jaw-dropping vintage rock tone, the tone shaping possibilities are endless. With the easy-to-use controls, this amp enables you to adjust the sound you want quickly and with minimal stress, so you know that every song at your gig will sound sublime. Carefully adjust the presence, bass, middle and treble dials to increase or decrease the frequencies, resulting in either a full-bodied tone driven by the bass, a bright tone made possible by clear trebles, or anything in between.
