The Tanglewood TWT1CE comes equipped with a factory fitted pickup and TEQ-TUT preamp with a convenient on-board tuner. Simply plug-in to an acoustic amp or PA system and play amplified within the comfort of home, the rehearsal room, and on stage. Shape your amplified tone with ease via its basic EQ section, perfect for the recording or gigging ukulele player. An easy-to-use tuner is also fitted to ensure precise tuning on the go.

Warm and Lively Ukulele Tone

The Tanglewood TWT1CE features a body crafted entirely from mahogany, offering a warm, rich, and resonant acoustic voice. Mahogany, early on, became 'the classic' ukulele sound, this is due to its focused tone and punchy mid-range being associated with traditional Hawaiian ukes. Overall the TWT1CE Soprano projects a lively, delicate and vibrant sound with great dynamics and definition. You can also play a wide variety of picking techniques and strumming patterns with ease, as the mahogany construction gives a great response to numerous playing styles.

Okoume Neck and Techwood Fingerboard

Constructed from okoume, the TWT1CE's neck delivers similar tonal properties to maple, producing a clear, bright tonality with good sustain and plenty of bite. The neck is finished in satin which enhances the wood's sonic-character further, allowing it come alive for a superb tone. In addition, the okoume neck is topped with a techwood fingerboard which enhances the ukulele's overall sound as well as providing a smooth playing experience.

Soprano Cutaway Body

With a soprano cutaway body, the Tanglewood TWT1CE is perfect for new to seasoned players due to its easy, comfortable playability and 15 frets. The soprano size has the smallest playing range of all ukuleles with a small distance between frets, making transitioning from chord to chord easy for smaller hands and new starters. In addition, the TWT1CE's 15 frets combined with its soprano size provide the player with a little extra room to experiment up and down the fingerboard, perfect for improving technique within a compact and comfortable size. Furthermore, the TWT1CE is a great choice for the travelling musician due to its light weight, compact size, as well as built-in electronics - perfect for impromptu gigs whilst on the road. For added comfort, the Tanglewood TWT1CE features a cutaway profile, which also provides easy access to upper frets.
