The layered Koa of the Taylor 224ce-K DLX not only looks stunning, it imbues this guitar with a unique tonal character. With its solid top and layered back, the Grand Auditorium body provides a wonderfully versatile sound that’s also intricately beautiful. Each layer is saturated in Taylor's varnish to create an attractive tapestry of colour and grain. And because this Koa has been sourced from the Hawaiian island of Big Island, there’s nothing quite like it when it comes to pure tonal richness and character. A thick Poplar core sandwiched between these layers offers a solid foundation for its tone with the overall thickness being 0.135".

Low end richness and ample volume from C-class bracing pattern
