The soundboard - or guitar top - is built from the same Sitka spruce wood used for the majority of Taylor’s acoustic products. It is relied on frequently for its strength and flexibility as well as a wide dynamic range that accommodates all strumming, fingerpicking and flatpicking styles. The Grand Concert body shape ensures balanced tones that thrive in the midrange, while delivering a strong lower end.
The neck is built using a neo-tropical mahogany, which delivers a beautiful, warm and resonant tone that is bursting with a rich character. This complements the sound of the spruce top for a well-balanced sound. On the other side of the neck, you have the West African Crelicam ebony fretboard – for a supreme playing surface upon which you can exercise your creativity in comfort and style. What’s more, the neck itself is complete with a satin finish, which allows you to glide across the fretboard with complete ease for the ultimate playing experience.
