American Alder Body with a Flamed Maple Top

The Vintage Reissued V72 has a body crafted from American alder to give the guitar a strong, full bodied sound with an incredibly clear feel. The body features acoustic chambers and an ‘F’ shaped sound hole, giving the Vintage TL excellent resonance to create powerfully dynamic tones. The alder gives the guitar’s high end some sizzle, while the midrange sounds become beefy and the low end sounding dynamic. The flamed maple top is given a tobacco burst finish that shows of the maple's flaming, delivering a visually stunning look that is both unique and eye catching.

Maple Neck & Rosewood Fingerboard

The maple neck and rosewood fingerboard works together to give the Vintage V74's tone plenty of warmth and smoothness. The maple wood delivers bright characteristics to give this Vintage Guitar a nice, light sound, perfect for playing blues and jazz. The wood’s high end comes across as sizzling, and its low end sounds firm, giving the midrange a snappy attack. When the strings are hit hard, the maple neck offers a punchy, gnarling sound, while medium to light playing produces excellent clarity.

Wilkinson Pickups

Featuring a set of Wilkinson pickups, the Vintage Reissued produces the iconic ‘twang’ characterisitc, suitable for a wide range of musical styles. In the bridge position is the WTB, offering 50’s style vibrant rock and roll tones with a hint of a dry bite, perfect for creating classically authentic tones. The neck position features the WDG mini double coil humbucker, offering the incredible high end of a single coil pickups with the warmth of a double coil. The two pickups deliver an incredibly versatile performance, providing powerful tones that can keep up with most playing styles.

Wilkinson WTB Intonatable Bridge

The Wilkinson’s WTB intonatable bridge features the classic 3-saddle design with staggered brass saddles to allow individual string intonations. With the ability to change the intonation of each string, you can adjust the guitar to suit preffered playing styles. The baseplate faithfully reproduces the original design, and is constructed out of steel to give the bridge pickup the best sound.
