This model features a solid sitka spruce top, which produces an incredibly versatile sonic-character, alongside a broad dynamic range, crisp articulation, and a clear, powerful projection. In addition, its solid top also delivers a focused, clear sound of deep lows, warm mid-range, and bright singing highs. Sitka's versatile nature enables it to accommodate many different genres and playing styles, as well as accommodating a player's individual style with ease.
Complementing the solid sitka spruce top is a sapele back and sides, which is both consistent and exceptionally balanced across the tonal spectrum with a little extra zing within the treble tones. Although the tone of sapele is similar to that of mahogany, the wood itself is slightly denser, which produces a slightly brighter tone with more top-end sparkle.
Constructed from nato, the Viator's neck offers similar tonal properties to mahogany, providing a quick response with great dynamics and tonal output. In addition to that, it also offers an authentic yet smooth, comfortable feel thanks to its customised V-shaped profile. This profile can also be found on pre-war era guitars, offering a vintage feel, whilst being perfect for the player that likes to hang their thumb over the edge of the fingerboard. The neck has been topped with a lignum rosa fingerboard that provides an added warmth and clarity to the guitar's overall sound, as well as a smooth, energetic playing experience. For added aesthetic appeal the fingerboard is graced with stunning pearloid dot inlays.
