The Studio Response Technology pickup system focuses on the individual strings to offer an extensive bandwidth signal. This results in a tone which has incredible clarity; it is smooth, angelic and mesmerising. The natural acoustic qualities are enhanced in a way which offers transparency and precision to each note you play, and so you are sure to deliver a truly enchanting performance. Going one step further than a traditional guitar, the System63 preamp allows you to adjust your sound to suit you. The volume and 3-band EQ controls provide amazing tone shaping capabilities that will make your sound stand out from anyone else’s. Better still, the onboard tuner means you can quickly tune up stress-free before your gig. All the electronic features of this guitar are usefully located on the side, where they are easily accessible. The knobs are small and subtle, meaning they don’t disrupt the guitar’s beautiful natural aesthetic.

Innovative bracing

The interior of this guitar has been meticulously designed to increase the depth and richness of the guitar’s sound. After extensive research and feedback, the new scalloped bracing pattern was devised and is now used throughout the whole of the A-series. It promises a tremendously resonant tone that is achieved by projecting more volume and increasing the low to mid range frequencies. It also allows greater and more balanced sound pressure, along with a brilliant dynamic range, through the way such resonance sits more centrally.

Woods that deliver beauty and sound

The solid mahogany of the Yamaha A3M’s body is the main material which creates a full and rich tone. It is a durable wood, meaning it is sure to last you throughout your time travelling and gigging. But more importantly, it demonstrates a wonderful, balanced tone that is distinctly mahogany. With an emphasised midrange, it gives you ample opportunity to play with overtones which can be made exquisitely prominent by the spruce top of the guitar and ebony fretboard. Whilst the back and sides enrich the midrange, the solid Sitka spruce top provides a crisp tone which ensures the higher frequencies shine with clarity and articulation, making it suitable for a range of playing styles. The ebony fretboard also offers a stunning bright tone - this means you can incorporate intricate fretting techniques knowing every note will be accentuated and projected with clarity. The result of the combination of such incredible woods? A divine, resonant and superbly versatile sound.
