The BB 235’s body is crafted from lightweight alder to produce a smooth, deep bass tone with a beefy midrange and a sizzling high end. Its strong, full-bodied sound works well when paired with the brightness of a maple neck, adding plenty of depth and dynamics to the overall tone. Coupled with a rosewood fingerboard which adds a complexity to the high end, further providing a smooth and comfortable playing experience to help elevate your performance to the next level. The neck also features an incredibly thin profile which allows for a less strenuous action when performing, making this guitar ideal for both learning and established bassists.
A Custom V3 sound
The Yamaha BB 235 is equipped with a set of powerful custom V3 pickups, with a split single-coil at the neck and a bar single-coil at the bridge. This configuration is perfect for musicians who enjoy playing a wide range of musical styles, while the ceramic magnets ensure the bass delivers a beefy dynamic tone which responds well to your playing style. With an excellent articulation, the harmonics of this bass can be easily altered through the single tone control and 2 volume controls providing versatile tone shaping, and allowing you to dial in the perfect sound for your playing.
