This is blistering sound. Single coils are renowned for their amazing definition, high output, and aggressive bite. The VP5 P-90 single coils loaded into the Revstar are no different. They perform brilliantly at high volume levels, meaning you can blast every note and chord home with total clarity - your audience won't miss a thing.

Gigantic sonic choice with maximum clarity

Coil-splitting. But not as you know it. The Yamaha Revstar RS702B comes fitted with the specially designed dry switch feature. With most coil-split humbuckers, after the pickup is split to sound like a single-coil, volume is lost and clarity muddied. Thanks to the dry switch, this won't happen with the Revstar. It filters out low frequencies, while maintaining output and fidelity. So you can experiment as much as you like with humbucker and single-coil voices, safe in the knowledge your sound will be on-point.

Vintage tremolo

The Bigsby tremolo. It's iconic in its own right, seen on the guitars of some of the greatest artists ever to walk the earth (including John Lennon and Keith Richards to name but two). So you can be sure that a Bigsby vibrato is going to give you the very best of the warbling tremolo sound that's been heard in some of the most iconic music of all-time. The Revstar RS702B's B50 Bigsby will let you divebomb and pitch shift to your heart's content. And to be frank, it looks cool too. Functional and attractive in equal measure.

Perfectly engineered playability

A ton of expertly designed features. All coming together to give you the most complete playing experience you've ever had in a guitar. First, the neck. It's made from sleek mahogany, allowing your hand to glide smoothly up and down the RS702B's scale. And it's feel comfortable as it does so. A "C"-shaped neck profile fits snugly to the contours of your hand.

There's much more. Jumbo sized frets increase the guitar's playing area. This means that it's easier to hit every note - especially useful for when you're playing at speed. And a double cutaway body provides uninhibited access to the top of the slick rosewood fingerboard, which provides definition and crisp articulation in everything you play. This is playability, enhanced.
