Multiple instrument compatibility
The Zoom AC-2 is primarily a guitar preamp and DI unit. It features 16 models of acoustic instrument so that the response will match and enhance the type of guitar you plug in. It can also be used on upright bass, nylon-strung guitar, resonator guitar and many more. If you're looking for a complete solution for shaping your instrument tone to send to an amplifier or PA, then look no further. What's more, it also includes handy gigging features such as a tuner, boost, feedback suppressor, and EQ.
Premium tone
The Zoom AC-2 is, at its core, a high quality, low-noise preamp that will enhance whichever guitar (or upright bass) you plug into it. With 16 instrument models you can completely tailor the response to match your instrument, accurately reproducing your core tone. The 3-band EQ provides tone shaping capabilities while the reverb adds a sympathetic ambience over your sound. This unit can adapt to different magnetic and piezo pickups to provide the optimum sound, no matter what you plug in.
Handy gigging features
The Zoom AC-2 is ideal for use as a floor-mounted unit on stage. As such, it includes handy gigging features such as an in-built tuner with LED display, which also mutes the output for silent tuning. The reverb effect will enhance your tone while the feedback suppressor and boost will aid in live situations for evening-out volume levels and dealing with tricky room acoustics. It can be powered by 9v or by AA batteries with a clever eco mode, so can make those impromptu gigs more feasible.
Multiple Connectivity
The Zoom AC-2 is fully loaded with dual mono outputs for feeding guitar amps or guitar-level devices such as on-stage monitors. A balanced XLR output also gives the AC-2 a simultaneous output to be used with mixing desks/PA or with recording devices. This multiple connectivity and extra tools give the AC-2 the potential to adapt to many musical situations, whether that be on stage, in the studio, or even in musical theatre applications.
