A turn for the best

A leading brand in the DJ and Studio equipment market, Reloop was founded in 1996 by a group of music engineers. Over time they have released an impressive range of top quality DJ turntables, controllers, mixers, amps and more. In 2016 Reloop launched its HiFi division. Reloop HiFi Introduced the Turn 3, a great value, high-end belt-driven turntable perfect for prospective audiophiles. Rugged build, smooth finish

The Turn 3 MK2 body is dense MDF material coated in a fine piano finish. The base is solid and heavy to provide the platter and tonearm with stability and protection from vibration interference; it is fitted with decoupled, shock-absorbing feet that also provide excellent vibration reduction. The platter is made from high quality die-cast aluminium which maintains precision rotational performance and balance. The heavy mass of the platter and rubber dampening further reduces disturbance and resonance feedback.

The tonearm, headshell and cartridge

The tonearm assembly of the Turn 3 MK2 has been re-engineered and specially developed to provide maximum sonic clarity and headshell tracking, fitted with a low profile anti-skating selection wheel and ergonomic finger lift. The straight tonearm allows precision tracking for the headshell, which is balanced by a stylish and clear detailed counterweight on the other end of the armature. The curved headshell ensures precise tracking and limited record wear, it also allows you to easily change between cartridges to suit the type of record intended being GM/SME compatible. The tonearm has a semi-automatic control that stops the record from spinning when it is finished, this feature can be switched off and you can control the playback manually.

The headshell comes equipped with the Ortofon 2M Red Cartridge, a popular moving magnet (MM) HiFi cartridge with an elliptical diamond stylus and copper coil split pole pins. It accurately transmits oscillations from the record grooves to the tonearm, delivering a warm and full sound.

Functions and controls

A large profile 3-speed control dial on the turntable's front right-hand side allows you to conveniently switch between 33, 45 or 78 RPM. This is great for playing records from any era such as shellac 78 RPM discs. The inner workings of the Turn 3 MK2 contain a low vibration DC motor that drives the platter via an internal belt which transmits little interference from the motor components.

Preamp and integrated interface

Featured within the MK2 version is an integrated USB audio interface that allows for recording any vinyl directly on your computer. This is ideal for archiving and preserving your record collection. Gold plated connections guarantee excellent signal transmission. An inbuilt preamp that brings the low-level phono signal from your turntable up to line level, can be turned on or off and an external preamp can be used. The Turn 3 MK2 is powered by a 12V DC input and turned on and off with a push button next to it.
