Known as France's answer to the Minimoog, the mono synth the EXPANDER is based on has seen use from Jean-Michel Jarre, Hans Zimmer, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, Vince Clarke, and Vangelis.
Featuring two voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), the KOBOL EXPANDER allows you to explore a wide range of sonic textures and create complex soundscapes. With seven morphing waveforms and a noise generator, as well as pulse width modulation and oscillator sync. One of the standout features of the KOBOL EXPANDER is its unique 4-pole VCF (Voltage-Controlled Filter) design. This design delivers a natural saturation that is synonymous with "Kobol" synthesizers, adding warmth and depth to your sound. The KOBOL EXPANDER also includes an analog LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) with two selectable waveforms and multiple destinations, enabling advanced sound creation and modulation possibilities.
