Key Features
The Doepfer A-174-2 is a two-wheel modulation wheel module. This an ideal addition to your modular setup if you want to make it more performable. Each wheel can be changed from their factory settings, but expert knowledge is suggested to do this.
The left wheel is spring loaded with a bipolar voltage output. It is set to be 0V in the centre, with a positive voltage when you push it up, and a negative voltage when you pull it down. You can use this for pitch-bending, or other functions where you want to make a quick changes that goes back to a default straight after.
The right wheel doesn't use a spring and has a positive voltage output. This is 0V at its lowest point, and has a positive voltage anywhere higher than this. Use this for gradually introducing modulation, or quick access to any setting, such as amplitude levels.
Please note: this module requires 2HP of space to its left, so may require a blank panel between it and another module

If your modular synth is missing a human touch, the A-174-2 Wheels module might fill that space. Use this to modulate controls on the fly, making your synth much more performable. Combine this a keyboard, such as the A-173-1/2 Micro Keyboard, and you've got yourself an expressive addition to your rig.
