Unique patching abilities are presented through the highly intuitive patch matrix. The heart and soul of the SYNTRX II, the patch matrix allows you to take control over virtually every aspect of your sound, altering the signal path or using it to save sequences. Each parameter features three levels, allowing you to tune in the precise sound of your signal. Saving your patch takes only seconds and can be instantly recalled with no delay, opening up exciting opportunities for live performers to explore creativity on-the-fly to keep your audience on their toes.

The brains of your system

Designed to be inclusive to every piece of equipment you might find in your studio, the SYNTRX II can graciously function as the central hub for your system. Featuring a wide range of inputs and outputs, SYNTRX II features dedicated dual inputs and outputs as well as MIDI and CV inputs and outputs. Whilst also being a highly versatile and exciting instrument, the SYNTRX II can be used to process signals from external instruments, making use of the exceptionally smooth filters, luscious reverbs and delays or exciting ring modulation. In addition to instruments, SYNTRX II can also be used to process your voice using Input 2 when set to 'Mic' input, offering you the chance to drastically process your voice in new and exciting ways. No matter which way you choose to use your SYNTRX II as part of your larger system, the all-analog design will imprint the signature warmth, character and tone to your input source.

Old-school control

You'll feel like you're in an arcade when using the SYNTRX II's Joy-stick. This enables you to manipulate two bipolar control voltages simultaneously. Each of the CVs can be allocated to control parameters on other modules for further adjustments. By using the X and Y level controls you're able to adjust in real-time the range of control voltage that is allocated. This can be adjusted between -5V to +5V.

You'll find that the Joystick comes up as pins 15 and 16 on the SYNTRX II's patch matrix. That's not all. There's a secret feature... The control voltage that can be found in user-controlled MIDI CC messages is added to the joystick. Empowering you with even more versatility when using the modular synth.

The weird and wonderful

Named because the envelope shape reminds you of a trapeze, TRAPEZOID is a mind-blowing looping envelope generator. In terms of how the generator functions, there are a lot of parallels between the generator associated with the EMS Synthi. The generation of control voltages allows it to control the modular synthesizer. From here you'll be able to adjust the amplitude of the signal, oscillator pitch, filters, reverb blends and so much more. When used in tandem with the envelope follower on the input section, it can even be used for looping sequences. Control the pitch of your oscillator or even the frequency cutoff of your filters via the patch matrix. This is an easy way to introduce natural rhythms to your music. These parameters can of course be controlled by the joystick for on-the-fly adjustments and live performance.

Stunning filters

A requirement for an all-analog synthesizer is the inclusion of seamless filters. The Erica Synths SYNTRX II's filters are a shining light that stands out amongst one of the most musical experiences in the instrument. Organic and smooth, SYNTRX II's filters are comprised of both an independent high-pass and low-pass, giving you complete control over your sound design. Whether you're looking to add suspense and tension by filtering low-end or want to tame harsh overtones from a sawtooth wave, the individual control ensures you'll be able to tune your filter to perfection.
