The Korg Grandstage X is built on a foundation of cutting-edge sound technology, boasting seven advanced sound engines that stand as individual instruments in their own right. Among these engines are the flagship SGX-2 and EP-1, which deliver incredibly authentic and dynamic piano and electric piano sounds. The SGX-2 engine is truly remarkable, with the inclusion of up to 12 levels of velocity switches, non-looping samples across all keys, and a depth of resonance that faithfully replicates the acoustic intricacies of pedal pressure and mechanical sounds.

This engine alone sets a new standard for digital piano sound replication. The EP-1, on the other hand, pays homage to the golden era of electric pianos, capturing the soulful tones of vintage keyboards with its rich, organic, and distorted sounds. Included in the lineup are the new GSX Piano and Nautilus Piano, both offering mixable close and far mic recordings for a truly immersive sonic experience.

Additionally, the Grandstage X features upright and small grand pianos, the iconic OASYS Piano, the SG1D Korg stage piano, and the quintessential 80s and 90s M1 Piano, along with historical fortepianos, mono pianos, and mid-focused instruments. The HD-1 PCM sound source further enriches the sound palette, offering a wide range of distinct keyboard sounds, from electric grands to harpsichords and pipe organs.
