Thanks to Bluetooth MIDI technology, HP-702 will interact with apps specially made to support this piano and you can take advantage of many libraries of learning resources. Enjoy learning at your own pace. Roland’s Piano Every Day app will guide you, offering reminders when you haven’t played for a while, keeping a diary of the practice sessions you have completed, and providing rhythmic and melodic accompaniment to your performances. It can even provide a score for the internal songs so you can learn to play along and comes with ‘Sheet Music Direct’ built-in, so you can download and play the score of any song from the world’s largest library of online music.

Going beyond sample-only based pianos, this unique and advanced modelling technology reproduces the complex physical interactions that occur when an acoustic piano creates sound. Total performance control with PHA 4

Like an acoustic piano keyboard, HP-702 features an action which can translate your deepest emotions and intentions to the sound engine. The PHA-4 keyboard action has the lower pitched keys weighted heavier than higher pitched keys, gradually changing note-by-note as we move up the keyboard. With careful choice of materials, the keys surface imitates the feel of ivory keys, absorbing minute amounts of moisture from your fingertips. This helps you play a more controlled performance without your fingers sliding too much! And again, normally only found in the most expensive acoustic grand pianos, the PHA-4 action also contains an escapement mechanism. This means you can repeat your notes as fast as required whilst also being able to express your subtlety when playing pianissimo passages. Altogether, the HP702 harnesses some of the most valuable acoustic properties, in a digital instrument, serving you the best of both worlds.
