Intuitive loudspeaker management
Taking its place in touring and installation rigs all over the world, the Behringer DCX2496 has become an indispensable solution for engineers and performers who care about their sound. From high-end touring, to permanent use in venues, the DCX2496 gives you a powerful way to manage a multi-speaker sound system no matter where you are.
Flexible connectivity
Hook up your system with ease. The DCX2496 boasts three analog inputs, with one that can also be used as a digital stereo AES/EBU input. Plus, six analog outputs all you to connect a wide variety of devices, all from a unit that only takes up a single rack space. And when it comes to sound quality, high-end Cirrus Logic 24-bit/96kHz A/D-D/A converters provide maximum signal integrity with a wide dynamic range of 120dB.
Powerful processing and control
You want your system to sound its best. With the DCX2496, you have a huge amount of processing power to make that happen. Precision dynamic EQs provide level-dependent equalisation, whilst music parametric EQs can be applied to each and every one of your inputs and outputs for accurate sound sculpting.
Each of the device's six outputs are equipped with individual crossover filters, and you can choose between Butterworth, Bessel, and Linkwitz-Riley designs. Each features selectable roll-off characteristics ranging from 6dB/octave up to 48dB/octave, allowing you to optimise a 2, 3, or 4-way system with ease. And with Behringer's 'Zero'-attack limiters, your speakers are protected across all of your output channels.
But it doesn't stop there. You can also make use of adjustable delays for each input and output. This gives you the ability to manually or automatically correct your system with to compensate for room temperature, phase, and arrival time differences. There's also a PCMCIA slot that allows you to store up to 60 user-defined presets internally, or via your PC, for instant recall when changing venues.
