Dual send and return channels

Unlike conventional DJ mixers, the MODEL 1.4 features two independent send and return channels. This allows you use to incorporate external effect processors and other outboard gear so you can customise your tonal palette. The return channel features trim and level rotary controls as well as Cue routing to the A/B channels. It also features an input DRIVE circuit so you can add some saturation into the mix.

High-performance preamps and studio-grade faders

Select from two dedicated preamps with turntable inputs. This duo of premium-grade preamps helps to combat the imbalance between analog and digital signals, helping to remove unwanted sub frequency feedback. Each preamp possess its own turntable earth binding for added convenience.

Mix and blend with the best of them. Feel the precision with the TKD 60mm faders, customised especially for this mixer. These high-end faders deliver an ultra-smooth operation with a heavy feel that results in improved precision.

Sculpt, shape and mix like never before

Setting itself apart from conventional mixers, the MODEL 1.4 uses a semi-parametric swept bell filter. The expansive filter gives you access to a frequency range that spans seven octaves, with a wide Q for good measure. The filter is easy to use thanks to the simple two control design comprised of Frequency and Cut/Boost controls.

Contour your frequencies. The high and low pass filters were incorporated for their unique precision, allowing you to specify the frequency range for your sound. Comprised of a low Q, high-pass and low pass filters, these specialised controls do not add colour to the send, even when sweeping between frequencies.

DualCue – two independent cueing systems

Switching between DJs can be tedious at the best of times, especially with analog gear. But with the MODEL 1.4 two DJs can use the mixer with ease thanks to the two independent Cue systems. Cue A routes to the right-hand side headphone monitor and Cue B routes to the left hand headphone monitor. This allows two DJs to monitor different channels independently of each other – ideal for smooth hand offs.

Fully balanced mix bus

Normally reserved for high-end studio desks, the MODEL 1.4 incorporates a fully balanced main mix bus, providing you with over 110dB of dynamic range. It also provides improved hum rejection, lower noise and minimised cross-talk for the purest sound possible.

Analog overdrive, master filtering and booth EQ

Push it to the limit. The integrated analog overdrive circuit is available on every input, providing a harmonic distortion effect at the turn of a knob. The DRIVE control allows you to add saturation and colour to your sound, which can be used to great effect during live sets.

The master section features both a three-band EQ as well as high/low-pass resonant filters for the utmost creative control. The master EQ features asymmetric cut and boost control with -20/+6dB settings as well as a frequency correction tool.

Perfect for performances, the HP/LP filters deliver exceptional accuracy when sweeping as an effect or as a tool. The signals can be routed to the master filter using the filter select switch available on each channel.

Topping this all off is a two-band booth EQ. You can use this EQ to adjust the frequency response of the Booth monitors, which is great for catering to different club spaces and environments.

The MODEL 1.4 is jam-packed with connections so you’re never at a loss when it comes to performing anywhere. Fully balanced TASCAM DB25 inputs and outputs are included, ideal for club installations and connecting to external sound cards. There is also a front-mounted Record Output, feeding the post Master EQ signal as a pre-fader record output. It also features a locking PSU connection for added security.
