The reimagined and streamlined workflow of Engine DJ 4.0 offers a cleaner and more intuitive user interface, allowing DJs to concentrate on their creativity rather than navigation. This update introduces several key features, including a redesigned Performance View with a consistent deck layout across all views and devices, enhanced album art display, and new Beat Phase/Beat Keeper options. The Layout Manager provides over 100 performance view combinations, enabling DJs to save and recall up to three custom layouts. The Performance Library is now accessible in all view configurations, allowing for seamless browsing and performance from the same screen.

Enhanced Performance Player views have been overhauled to fit modern DJ setups, with dual-layer options and the new Deck Swap feature enabling customization to match any LC6000 Prime Expansion Controller hardware configuration. The improved Library Layout and Search Capabilities feature enhanced contrast for better visibility, a streamlined library header bar, and the ability to hide playlists for an expanded tracklist view. A redesigned search bar with consistent placement across all views makes finding tracks quicker and easier.

Engine DJ 4.0 also improves effects options with Touch FX Filter Echo and Filter Dub Echo featuring additional amount sliders, flashing FX buttons when engaged, and audible filter and noise sweep in Pre-Fader Listen (PFL) mix. Comprehensive updates enhance stability and performance, addressing issues such as recording volume consistency and improved Beatport/Beatsource search functionality.

Additionally, Bluetooth audio input and keyboard support provide more audio source options and a wireless song searching experience. No need to use your line faders, the Prime Go offers dual independent, level-controlled microphone channels. These are accessed via XLR-1/4-inch combo inputs. The talk over feature makes full use of this, automatically adjusting the level allowing you to make your big announcement.

This is your one-stop music library and set prep tool, connecting seamlessly to other popular music collection resources. Using just the Prime Go, you are also able to import a full Rekordbox collection straight from the media source. This is then internally analysed within the Prime Go unit.
