Bio-based plastics are made of 50 up to 100 renewable plant-based raw materials. These materials include cornstarch, cane sugar, vegetable oils and cellulose from cotton or wood. These help reduce the use of petrol and minimises harmful CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
