The Marantz Sound Live 8’s compact design makes it perfect for a range of recording and live performance applications. The portable size and lightweight construction makes the Sound Live 8 ideal for taking with you on the move. The 8-channel/2-bus mixer gives you more than enough connectivity for any recording project or performance, with the wide range of controls giving you everything you need to manage professional projects. The 60mm faders allow you to precisely adjust the levels of each channel, with each fader equipped with a mute switch for added convenience and a LED indicator. XLR and 1/4’’ inputs are included so you can record both vocals and instruments alike, perfect for capturing everything from acoustic guitars and pianos to live vocal performances. A headphone output is also included for direct monitoring, complete with independent level control.
The Marantz Sound Live 8 features a total of 5 XLR inputs, all of which are equipped with the custom Marantz Professional Mic Preamps. Designed to deliver exceptionally clean sound, these pristine preamps have been developed to offer the best possible audio fidelity for recording vocals. Dynamic compression is available on channels 1 and 2, along with 3-band EQ controls on each channel and a 9-band EQ for the main or monitor outputs. This versatile control enables you to tailor the sound before post-processing and allows you to make live changes on the fly.
The Sound Live 8 mixing console incorporates 100 studio-grade digital effects, allowing you to easily add effects to your input channels and enhance any performance. Separated into 10 groups, each with 10 presets, the effects range from delays and reverbs to large hall and chorus. The wide range of built-in effects allow you to add a new dynamic to your recordings. For example adding reverb to vocal performances produces extra depth, or you can add the chorus effect to a guitar for a change in sound.
