The Pioneer DDJ-REV7 is a powerful all-in-one DJ controller featuring motorised platters for a truly natural feel when mixing and scratching. Packed to the brim with performance features and innovation, the DDJ-REV7 delivers a playing experience like no other DJ controller on the market. Nothing beats the feel of a vinyl turntable platter, with its weighted and unique movement attributed to the way DJs have learned and perfected the art of scratching. The DDJ-REV7 bridges the gap between analog turntables and digital controllers, featuring brand-new motorised jog wheels that handle like real vinyl records. The 7-inch motorised jog wheel replicates the feel and touch of a vinyl turntable, boasting the same rotational stability for a truly ‘hands on’ approach.
You can also customise the feel of the jog wheels, thanks to the unique three-tier design that utilises two slip sheets inside of each deck, allowing you to choose your preferred amount of friction. You can also change the torque of the jog wheels with high and low torque settings. You can even adjust the Stop Time of the jog wheels, dictating how long the music takes to finish when you press pause. It also comes with all the bell and whistles you’d expect including onboard performance pads, three-band EQ on each channel, onboard filtering and Lever FX. The DDJ-REV7 also comes equipped with the Magvel Fader Pro – one of the most renowned faders ever created and perfect for scratching.
Check vital track info at a glance thanks to the ‘On Jog’ display. At the centre of each jog wheel is a 3.5-inch LCD screen which displays all the important info you need with various modes to choose from. Select between Waveform, Virtual Deck, Artwork and DJ Logo displays for various different applications. For example, switching to waveform mode allows you to see your current track position as well as other important info such as song key, BPM and pitch info.
The display can also be viewed at any angle, so no matter how demanding your DJ set is you can always see the info you need. You can also customise the info available on the display, such as being able to turn of the market which displays playback position.
Scratch like the pros using the four original scratch samples available just above the jog wheels. Enabling this unique mode allows you to load scratch samples instantaneously from up to four banks from Serato DJ Pro. You can trigger these scratch-friendly samples by simply tapping a pad. You can even start the sample from a point that you specify.
Create mixes and transitions with ease thanks to the 23 built-in Beat FX. Whether you want to create a massive drop, a build-up or add tension to your mixes you can trigger a wide range of effects from the centre-aligned parameters. It even comes with its own compact display, providing info on the Beat FX you are using. You can also use the two levers to trigger these effects once applied in Serato DJ Pro, in short bursts or ‘locked in’. Building on the design of other Pioneer DJ controllers, the DDJ-REV7 features three additional, new effects. The new Beat FX include: Duck Down, Fill Out and Helix Out. The first two are easily explained by their name but the Helix Out is an effect that samples the input sound and repeatedly fades it out like a reverb, while increasing the playback speed and pitch.
