Designed to provide flexible connectivity in professional audio environments, the NSB 32.16 features 32 XLR mic/line inputs and 16 balanced XLR outputs. Whether used for front-of-house mixing, stage monitoring, or studio recording, it offers ample connections for microphones, instruments, and other audio sources.

Each input is equipped with a remote-controllable XMAX preamp, delivering high-headroom, low-noise performance with 60 dB of gain. Outputs can be assigned for stage monitors, in-ear mixes, or external processors, making the NSB 32.16 a powerful hub for any audio setup.

AVB networking for streamlined setup

By leveraging AVB (Audio Video Bridging) networking, the NSB 32.16 simplifies stage box connectivity, transmitting up to 32 channels of high-resolution audio over a single Ethernet cable. This eliminates the need for bulky analog cables, reducing setup time and potential signal degradation.

The unit features dual locking AVB Ethernet ports, allowing daisy-chaining of multiple NSB units or direct connection to a StudioLive Series III mixer. AVB also enables remote preamp control and flexible routing, providing seamless operation across a networked audio system.

Remote preamp control and gain compensation

The NSB 32.16’s XMAX preamps can be remotely controlled from a connected StudioLive Series III mixer or the PreSonus Universal Control app, enabling adjustments from anywhere in the venue. Gain settings can be optimized without physically accessing the stage box, making sound checks and live mixing more efficient.

For systems with multiple mixers sharing the same stage box, built-in gain compensation ensures consistent levels across all connected devices. This allows one mixer to adjust preamp gain without affecting others, maintaining balanced audio throughout the network.

Rugged and rack-ready design

Built for professional environments, the NSB 32.16 features a durable steel chassis that withstands the demands of touring and live production. It occupies a 3U rack space and includes reversible rack ears, allowing recessed or reversed mounting configurations to accommodate cabling and space requirements.

With a built-in power supply and IEC connector, the NSB 32.16 ensures reliable performance without external adapters. Front-panel indicators provide real-time status updates for power, network connection, and phantom power, giving users full visibility of system operation at all times.
