And it has all been carefully crafted to fit inside a mixer that you can comfortably fit on any desktop. Big or small.

With the M 20X, you've also got a comprehensive set of multitrack recording and playback functions in your arsenal. With a total of 20 analog inputs, and 14 output channels consisting of balanced analog outs and an AES/EBU digital out, the possibilities are almost endless. Route your signals into and out of your mixer from the rear panel, and control everything from the intuitive, easy-to-understand control panel.

Maximise your workflow

Some mixers make a real meal out of making simple changes. But not the M 20X. This is a mixer that has been designed with you in mind. Any function can be completed with minimal effort, making your workflow quick and easy.

Eight user keys in the top left corner of your mixer give you a huge amount of programming options. They can provide you with instant control over scene selection, transport controls (play/record etc.), tap tempo, and UI shortcuts. And all without having to wade through endless complex menus.

You've also got four layers of fader assignments. These let you instantly control input channels 1 to 10, channels 11 to 20, FX returns, or your outputs. Faders are easy to assign, and each of the eleven faders boast a 100mm motorised design for precision control. The faders have been designed to ensure that movement noise is kept to an absolute minimum, so you, the performances, and your microphone signals aren't disturbed by noise.

What's more, the M 20X is equipped with a highly-responsive 5'' TFT touchscreen. As well as displaying all of the information that you want to see when you're working, this also gives you intuitive navigation of every available feature on your mixer. You can even pair it with an external tablet for even more control.

And it doesn't stop there...

This is a mixer that does more. The M 20X's 14 buses can be assigned to the faders. You can choose between four effect buses, eight mix buses, and the main mix bus, whilst the master fader is always assigned to the overall output level of your selected bus. And you can monitor with ease at any time using the CUE bus.

This bus features a real-time analyzer and a headphone output, providing you with powerful and intuitive monitoring on the fly. And when it comes to getting everything setup, the ability to save and recall all of your parameters, including preamp gain settings, makes getting everything up and running quick and easy.

Exporting made easy

With two USB host ports on the M 20X's top panel, you can plug in a variety of USB devices including WiFi dongles, USB-MIDI equipment for controlling the User Key functions, and USB mass storage devices. The USB storage devices can be used for recording and playback of audio in stereo.

You've also got a powerful integrated SD card multitrack engine to make use of. With this, you can take advantage the ability to work with 20 tracks simultaneously at 24-bit/48kHz, as well as being able to utilise an extensive range of routing options. The ability to record and playback 20 tracks directly to and from the SD card gives you an easy-to-use way to export your mix without having to carry around extra equipment.

But SD cards and USB storage devices aren't the only way you can record and playback your mixes. The M 20X is equipped with a powerful USB 2.0 audio interface, providing 24x24 digital connectivity with your Mac or PC for complete flexibility.

Get connected

It's easy to control your mixer, even when you're not sat in front of it. Take advantage of RCF's M20 MixRemote app both iOS and Android devices. You can connect your device to your mixer over USB (Android tablets), wired to your device (iOS or Android tablets using a LAN adapter), or wirelessly. Wireless connectivity can be achieved via an external WiFi access point connected to your local network, or using a WiFi dongle that you've plugged into your mixer.

The app itself provides all-in-one mixing capabilities, control over your mixer's processing and routing, and full recording and playback functionality. All of your mixers settings and features are accessible through the app, all without the need for an additional computer.

Powerful processing

Make your mix your own with enhanced FX engines and powerful I/O processing capabilities. Each of the M 20X's inputs features a 12dB/octave high-pass filter, noise gate, 4-band parametric EQ, and a delay line. Channels 1 to 16 also feature a compressor/de-esser. You can even take advantage of channel presets that can be copied and pasted for rapid results.

Once you're all hooked up, you've got four buses that are dedicated entirely to your mixer's enhanced internal FX engines. These provide you with two high-quality digital reverbs, a programmable delay, and a fourth option that can be assigned to either delay or modulation. Each engine provides you with a flexible selection of algorithms that have been designed to provide you with powerful options for any show.

When it comes to the output processing section, you have a flexible 8-band parametric EQ with selectable modes and different slopes, enabling you to sculpt your tone with precision. You can also glue your sound together with a compressor/limiter, and optimise your sound with a time-delay that boasts up to 85-metres of compensation. If you want even more control over your main output, you can use the M 20X's 30-band graphic EQ for accurate corrections of the overall frequency response.
