Serato integration

The turntable is designed for seamless integration with Serato DJ Pro, allowing the user to control up to seven different performance modes via the pad section. The unique Platter Play mode allows the pads to be used for controlling the platter's rotation speed to create melodies and authentic musical performances. Combining professional turntable tools with innovative music making features, the RP-8000 MK2 is the ultimate musical instrument.

Pad section

The RP-8000 MK2 features eight large pads with RGB illumination for control over 7 different performance modes (Cue, Sampler, Saved Loops, Pitch Play, Loop, Loop Roll, Slicer). Two separate user modes can also be used for custom preferred functions. The multi encoder makes it possible to browse and load tracks directly from the turntable unit. Thanks to its MIDI compatibility, the RP-8000 MK2 can communicate with every MIDI compatible DJ software. This ensures no additional controller is required for performance modes.

S-Shaped tone arm

The RP-8000 MK2 features a statically balanced S-shaped tone arm with hydraulic lift and anti-skating mechanism. This provides improved stability and adjustable height/vertical tracking angle (VTA). The low-resonance tone arm comes with a universal connection for pick-up cartridge systems.

Platter Play Mode

The Platter Play mode makes it easy to control the platters pitch via the turntable’s performance pads. This provides a huge range of potential for live performances by turning the RP-8000 MK2 into a legitimate musical instrument. The Platter Play mode provides 22 scales and 34 notes with the option to create up to nine user defined scales. The two speed select buttons can be used for pitch bending in Platter Play mode or to increase/decrease the audio materials pitch in half-tone steps. Platter speed can also be controlled via an external MIDI keyboard.

Hi-res pitch section

The RP-8000 MK2 features a hi-resolution pitch fader which can be used to adjust the platter speed in the classic turntable pitch range +/-8 . The RP-8000 MK2 is also cable of a wider, DJ-friendly +/- 16 pitch range and a massive +/-50 ultra-pitch. This is ideal for creatively mixing a wide range of records. If quartz lock is active, the platter speed will remain unaffected by the fader position and will spin at zero pitch (0 ).

Powerful motor

The RP-8000 MK2 runs extremely smoothly thanks to the quartz-driven motor with digital pitch correction operating a starting torque of 2.8kg/cm. This can be extended further to a maximum of 4.5kg/cm. The turntable break speed (platter stop) can also be adjusted from 0.2 – 6 seconds with vibration-reducing rubber eliminating vibrations and resonance from the die-cast aluminium platter.

Sturdy construction

Combining metal, rubber and synthetic materials, the RP-8000 MK2 is now more robust than ever. The heavy casing provides protection for the turntable, making it particularly resistant to vibrations from heavy bass sounds. The shock absorbing feet further improve this, with a scratch-resistant black finish completing the RP-8000 MK2.

High-quality connections

The RP-8000 MK2 can easily be mounted in a flight case next to other DJ gear thanks to the recessed back panel. Due to the additional output, the turntable can be connected to 2 mixers simultaneously, also allowing an easy switch from DVS to vinyl. To protect the turntable in club environments, the optional ground terminal can be accessed.
