Lightning fast technology
Roland understand the dangers that latency can introduce. Especially in high-pressure situations such as live performance. That's why the WM-1 features proprietary wireless technology. With this on-board, performances will feel natural thanks to the adaptors' ultra-responsive nature. The first couple of times you use it you'll be forgiven for continually checking you're still not plugged in with a MIDI cable. Standard mode will be useful for most applications. However, if you're performing intricate parts with complex timings, then you'll benefit from fast mode. This guarantees a quicker transfer speed of 3ms.
Operating systems
If you use a Windows operating system then a WM-1D wireless MIDI dongle (not supplied) is necessary to integrate wireless MIDI into your set-up. Setting up is as easy as connecting the device into an available USB port for instantaneous, smooth response between the system and your instrument. Although OS operating systems are able to communicate over standard Bluetooth MIDI. A WM-1D is recommended if you want to feel the benefits of fast mode!
