The transparent Prethos internal circuitry architecture ensures only the finest sound capture when you need it most. Capture every detail with a dual condenser element. Externally biased, ultra-thin, 2.5 micron, 24-karat gold-layered, Mylar diaphragms deliver superior transient response and a wide, uniform frequency response. All you have to do is perform. The mirophone does the rest.

Mechanical vibrations below 17Hz are eliminated by a subsonic filter, and plosives, wind, and breath noises are pacified by a built in three-stage pop filter. Need to hold or reposition the mic? No problem. An internal shock mount reduces handling and stand noise, so even during demanding performances you’ll get the same great clarity.

Thanks to its multiple polar pattern configurations, the KSM44A is suited for a wide range of recording applications. Alongside delivering a premium vocal performance, the microphone is also capable of providing excellent sound for acoustic and wind instruments, low frequency instruments such as basses, overhead miking, and ensemble miking such as choral or orchestral performances.
