Key Features
The biggest leap forward in microphone technology for 50 years. The Shure KSM8 uses not one, but two ultra-thin diaphragms to deliver sound of unparalleled complexity. By re-writing the rules, Shure have created a microphone that eliminates 'boominess', and stops invasive background noise dead in its tracks.
No matter how loud the band. No matter how big the venue. Your voice will exude clarity and realism like never before.
What's more, the KSM8 is astoundingly resilient. The hardened-steel grille and specialised fabric keep the components safe from moisture. And because the KSM8 has been constructed using radically advanced laser welding techniques, it performs with total precision. Every single time.

First Shure brought us the legendary Unidyne microphone. Now they bring us the KSM8 Dualdyne - the world’s first twin diaphragm dynamic handheld microphone.
Unlike ordinary microphones, the KSM8 is completely consistent across the entire frequency range. Two high-calibre diaphragms work in unison with a ground-breaking inverted airflow system to deliver the most authentic sound imaginable. There is no colouration or artificial changes to the mid and high frequencies. Finally, your voice will be free from unpleasant harshness or sibilance. Even the tonal variations caused by the proximity effect have been eradicated. With the KSM8, you don't need perfect mic technique to achieve a balanced sound that sits in the mix.
But there's more. Inside the KSM8 is a brand new pneumatic shock mount and diaphragm stabilisation system. These isolate and protect the Dualdyne cartridge from vibrations. It's as if the microphone is suspended in mid air. There's not a trace of handling noise or rumble, no matter how much you like to move. Just your voice. Pure and simple.
