The Shure PGA56 lets you capture rock solid drum sounds. It harnesses that midrange ‘punch’. And avoids the overly ‘smacky’ top end associated with other cheaper drum mics. This is thanks to a rounded frequency response (50Hz-15kHz) and gentle low frequency roll off. Which tightens up the body of your drum tone and helps it sit naturally in the mix.
As you might expect, the PGA56 can handle incredibly high sound pressure levels. This means even the loudest drummers won’t overload the capsule. So you can always expect clean, distortion free results.
Adjusting stands on small stages can be difficult. They get knocked out of place and no matter how hard you try, they’re never positioned quite right.
But with the Shure PGA56, you can mic up drums with total precision. Fast.
It’s designed to clip straight onto the rim of any drum. The mic distance can be adjusted by moving it up or down the slide bar. And once angled exactly how you want, you can lock it in place using the quick-release lever. Need more attack? No problem- now adjustments are easy.
And with its super compact design, it can even get into those tight spots between the drum kit.
Shure build the most reliable microphones in the world.
The PGA56 Drum Microphone boasts the exceptional build quality Shure are known for. It has been rigorously tested to handle almost any environment. It has survived heat, cold, humidity and the ‘Shure drop test’.
Stray drum sticks certainly won’t damage the PGA56. With its rugged metal body and grille, it’s ready for long term use on stages or in studios.
