At the core of the Audio-Technica M50xBT2 Bluetooth Headphones are Audio Technica’s proprietary 45mm large-aperture drivers complete with a dedicated headphone amplifier. These premium-quality components help to deliver the sparkling highs and powerful low-end response, that made the original headphones so sought after. As well as the dedicated headphone amp, the M50xBT2s feature an advanced AK331 audio DAC chip to ensure the highest possible fidelity and clarity.
Not only does it excel with wireless devices, but the headphones also feature a wired connection helping to conserve battery power or provide optimised performance when in the studio. The headphones are also now compatible with AAC and LDAC wireless audio codecs ensuring you get the best possible sound no matter what you’re playing.
Dual built-in microphone with sidetone circuitry
For those who want to enjoy music on the move, Audio Technica have incorporated a dual microphone design that allows you to take calls while you’re out and about. Improving on the original design, the BT2s feature an enhanced vocal pickup utilising beamforming mic technology. The result is ultra-clear sound when taking phone calls and maximum intelligibility when using your built-in voice assistant.
One of the most unique features of the dual mics is the introduction of sidetone circuitry. This allows you to hear your voice in the headphones whilst making calls on virtually any smartphone.
