CME WIDI Uhost Overview

The CME WIDI Uhost is a wireless Bluetooth MIDI hub designed to act as a go-between for all your MIDI controllers and USB MIDI gear. From synthesizers to sequencers, the WIDI Uhost is the perfect centerpiece for any studio setup, allowing you to turn your studio gear wireless simply by connecting the USB cable to the Uhost. Providing a class-compliant hub for your MIDI controllers and operating systems so you can connect all your USB MIDI device via Bluetooth MIDI.


You can connect your gear to the Uhost in multiple ways, for instance; you can connect USB MIDI to MIDI using the Uhost and a WIDI master/jack unit. You can also pair your USB MIDI hardware wirelessly to your computer/device (Windows, Android, Chrome OS and Linux) using two WIDI Uhost units. You can also pair your USB MIDI hardware wirelessly with any Bluetooth MIDI device using a single Uhost unit.


Its versatile design means it can be used in various configurations to achieve a fully wireless setup. Providing ‘plug-and-play’ class-compliant connectivity, the uHost allows you to connect virtually any MIDI instrument/gear to this wireless MIDI hub. With a wide variety of different configurations on offer, the uHost can be used for multiple applications. You can connect your USB MIDI hardware wirelessly to any Bluetooth MIDI device using a single WIDI uHost unit.

Using two WIDI uHost units, you can pair your USB MIDI hardware to your computer/tablet device including support for Windows, Android, Chrome OS and Linux. It will also work with iOS/macOS devices, allowing you to pair your USB MIDI hardware wirelessly using a single WIDI uHost. You can connect virtually any USB MIDI hardware together using the ground-breaking uHost technology. Utilising the latest Bluetooth technology, the uHost provides ultra-low-latency performance with an ultra-secure connection – perfect for the stage or the studio.

MIDI messages and dedicated WIDI app

Not only does the uHost provide high-speed and stable performance, but the unit is also able to transmit all MIDI messages via Bluetooth including notes, CC, MIDI clock, Long sysex (5kb) and MPE. The WIDI uHost also comes complete with a dedicated app that is user-friendly and allows you access to advanced settings. The app allows you to set up WIDI groups, as well as customise device names and also upgrade the firmware when needed.
