Key Features
The Cranborne Audio Carnaby 500 Harmonic EQ is a revolutionary EQ module. Designed from the ground up, the all-analog circuit is designed to combine EQ and saturation for musical, harmonically-rich frequency sculpting on any instrument or sound in your mixes or projects. Presented in a familiar three-band parametric EQ format, each band features 10dB of boost or cut and sweepable frequency controls all with high-quality, long-lasting 41-way dented pots.
Utilising harmonics to generate the EQ effect, Carnaby 500 creates a musical, fuller and more exciting sound by applying complementary harmonics derived from the fundamental frequency of your input audio. Packed with features, each frequency includes saturation drive LEDs, providing visual feedback over the amount of saturation along with input and output controls to drive the module harder for more saturated effects or to tame it for cleaner sounds. Featuring the revolutionary wireless OPTOSYNC technology, you can link multiple units together, controlling each slave unit with a master unit. Perfect for stereo processing, 5.1 atmos or multi-channel summing applications.

Unique to the Carnaby 500, Carnborne Audio has implemented the world's first Harmonic EQ. An all-analog EQ design which uses harmonic saturation to cut or boost your desired frequencies, creating luscious overtones and harmonic excitement within your processing for more detail with every turn of the knobs. Not just useful for sculpting the frequency balance of your source, Carnaby 500 enhances the sounds with authentic analog saturation.
Presented in a familiar three-band design, each band features +/-10dB of boost or cut and independent sweepable frequency controls per band. Each band has been meticulously engineered to deliver a unique blend of harmonic content depending on the incoming audio source for maximum musicality.
With a frequency range of 5kHz to 25kHz, the high-frequency band features a shelf design, extending far beyond the audio band to enhance the air and breath of a vocal or acoustic guitar. At the other end of the range, the low band ranges from subharmonic 20Hz to low-midrange warmth of 420Hz, perfect for adding subtle energy or for extreme subharmonic saturation. The MID band is a peaking filter with a fixed Q and a wide sweepable frequency range from 200Hz up to 6.2kHz. It uses saturation to add harmonic emphasis to the source anywhere in the frequency range.
For stereo operation, Cranborne Audio has simplified the process of linking two units together with the innovative OPTOSYNC functionality. With OPTOSYNC, two units can be linked together, synchronised from left to right units, without the need for any cables or internal fixings! Optical and LED communications are employed, allowing you to synchronise slave units to their master units, applying the same sonic footprint across anything up to multi-channel surround mixes!
Boutique equipment should be built to last a lifetime. Cranborne Audio have made sure that the Carnaby 500 Harmonics EQ could last several lifetimes! A unique structural design with rugged construction material pairs with custom 41-way dented pots throughout the module to ensure that no matter how many racks or studio builds it goes in and out of, you'll never be left with a damaged product.
