Rock-Solid Clocking With Multiple Modes

With its customised ultra-low jitter clocking technology delivering rock-solid sound and superior imaging, the CONVERT-2's clock is an elite class. CONVERT-2 features three different clock modes for flexibility, allowing you to clock internally or externally. These modes include Normal, External and Master. With Normal, you can sync to any incoming clock via any of the digital sources. External modes slaves to an external word clock source. However, it is highly recommended to use the Master clock of the CONVERT 2, allowing you to slave all other digital sources to its clock.

Unrivaled Feature Set

CONVERT-2 integrates a range of useful features including sample rate selection, automatic sample rate detection, instant input calibration, input selection and custom metering all designed for versatility. Instantly switch between your sample rates, or use the auto mode for automatic detection, allowing for universal compatibility with other devices, ensuring you work with the correct sample rate. Choose between three calibration levels with the push of a button for compatibility with other external devices. You can also swap between all digital inputs on the fly with the front panel buttons, meaning no digging deep through menus, system settings, or rerouting software drivers. This allows you to quickly and easily switch between referencing from your iTunes and final mix with no latency. Switch between the USB, AES/SPDIF 1, AES/SPDIF 2, ADAT and Optical SPDIF (TOSLINK) easily. CONVERT-2 also features a custom made digital metre that gives you peak-over-average metering. Conveniently, it automatically calibrates to your chosen input reference level, giving you consistent visuals. There is also a three-word-over indicator that lets you know when three consecutive samples have clipped, so you know when you are violating industry standards for CD reproduction and are about to generate audible clipping distortion.

USB Port For Direct DAW Connectivity

Dangerous Music have made it easy to integrate the CONVERT-2 into your digital studio. CONVERT-2 features a USB port with unique USB Uplink technology, allowing you to route the AES/SPDIF-2 signal back through the USB cable and into your DAW session. This gives you the option of sending digital audio to your DAW from any digital source. Switching between monitoring the original digital signal or the Uplinked signal is easy, meaning you can add finalising plugins to your DAW's return track and flip quickly between the processed and unprocessed stereo signal.
