Polivoks VCF Core

The AcidBox III is the perfect live performance aid, allowing you to use cutting-edge filtering for various sound sources. At the core of the unit is the Polivoks stereo lowpass/bandpass VCF, complete with the original programmable opamps.

The Polivoks core is taken from the Erica Synths Eurorack module of the same name. It is renowned for its impressive audio fidelity and sound shaping capabilities. It includes a built-in LFO and envelope follower, complete with a modulation level attenuverter for maximum tonal control. The unit is ideal for sound design and experimentation, as well as for live performances, taking your creativity to the next level.

Unique Audio Overdrive Circuit

Using the audio input level knob, you can achieve unique overdriven tones. Once the level is driven over 12 o’ clock, the signal will start to overdrive. The starting point of the overdrive is dependent on the audio signal level and gain settings. The unique, crunchy distortion is warm with overtones similar to classic overdrive circuits.

Comprehensive Control Section with CV Connectivity

The control section features retro-style attenuverters, providing maximum precision when it comes to dialling in your levels. The ergonomic controls feature a wide range of parameters including the ability to switch between 8 different waveforms. The unit includes attenuverters for: LFO speed, LFO Shape, LFO divider/multiplier, LFO depth, Envelope Follower rate, Envelope Follower Depth Cutoff, Resonance, Master Modulation and Resonance.

The unit also includes various switches including a bypass switch for activating true bypass mode. The filter mode switch allows you to toggle between Lowpass and Bandpass filter modes. A tap tempo buttons is included for a quick and easy way to manually synchronise the LFO to your music beat. A handy LED light indicates the tap rate.

Compact, Robust Design

The compact yet robust design makes the unit highly portable, ideal for live shows and collaborations. The Acidbox II features a configurable control input for footswitch, expression pedal and external LFO/cutoff control. This allows you to control your filtering with external devices for added flexibility.
